For many years, NTCC has changed worship place several times. Brothers and sisters come and go. But thanks to God’s grace, He is always with NTCC. The dream to have a place to call home, our spiritual home, never dies.
When we determined to look for our place to call home, the biggest questions we asked ourselves were: Why we need a place to call home? Why now? After numerous sharing and praying, including a member survey, God gradually planted this vision into each every one of us.
When we shared the same vision among us, the next question was: How to find a place to call home? We didn’t have any expertise in real estate at all! Thankfully, God had sent his own servant, brother Raymond, to help us. After eight months of continuous search, we found this 8.9-acre promised land. Without a doubt this is the land promised by God: the beautiful park-like landscape, the outstanding location, and the incredible price. We had witnessed God’s promise once again.
Once we found the land, the next question is: How to pay for it? We had less than three months to come up with $250,000. Brothers and sisters worked diligently together- forty-day fasting, local and overseas fund raising events, Garage Sales, etc. Through the unity of our church, we miraculously reached our financial goal and close the transaction on July 18th. This time we had witnessed His provision.
Now we are at the final phase: building the church! From now on, we will rely on construction professionals. We are very glad that two brothers are lending their structure engineering expertise to the project. We plan to select an architect and a civil engineer firm by middle of November. The actual building phase can be divided into two steps:
1. obtain building permit: architect and civil engineer have to meet with Town of Flower Mound to obtain building permit. It will be an arduous long process. We estimate the process will take about eight (8) to twelve (12) months because Flower Mound has strict building codes.
2. construction: we must find contractors to construct our building after obtaining building permit. We estimate the whole construction will take four (4) to six (6) months.
Through the whole process, we share the same vision. We experience God’s presence with God’s promise and His provision. At the last stage of building project, we earnestly need the unity of our church and prayer from you. Who knows, if this is His plan, NTCC may celebrate 2006 Christmas at a place we call home!
